Yes, actually when me and my husband were dating and split for a month. I broke it off. All I said was I need sometime alone. He pursued me that entire month, then we ended up back together. I found out how it was for him that month. Hell is how he put it, I didn't realized what I had at first so I did some pretty messed up stuff. Later of course I regretted it all, like an idiot. It was the worst break up not because of how I felt at the time, but because how I made the person I love the most feel.

Five years into a deep relationship he asked me to marry him. We got the contract organized (This was to be a Muslim marriage).
He was sent to the Middle East to do some diplomatic type work and did not return until the day we were to marry. He had been incommunicado for four months, underground. He was a mess and with no ado or word to me canceled our wedding.
It just got called off. Because I am too old to have children, and he needed some because his sons were killed in Iraq, he married a younger fertile woman.
That was my worst break up ever because I never got over him. We were victims of circumstance nothing more. We are still friends but I have to keep some distance because even 2 years later I miss him.

My worst breakup would have to be when my ex thought i was annoying and I barely even talked to him, because well, I am a shy person and I still am today. I was the one who enforced a breakup. But sometimes breakups are good, considering he was a player, (i didn't know that until I dated him). But I'm glad he is away from me now, I'm still finding the right guy.

My worst breakup was a few years ago. It was after our entire class went on a trip and the next day I didnt go to class because I was too tired. I came back to school the day after and everyone was saying how sorry they were and that he was a jerk. I had no idea what the were talking about so I went up to my best friend and she told me that my boyfriend dumped me the day after the trip. The worst part was is that he wasnt man enough to tell ME FIRST. So everyone thought I stayed home because of him.

Oh my. I am going to skip all the details. Me and this girl met during our fresh year in high school. We got together in sophomore year, broke up the same year. We havn't talked ever since.
Four years later we ended up in the same class in the same college. We ended up being together again... what a sick feeling it was, thinking about it now! And things only got worse than the first time. Long story short, my girl-friend (not gf) called me when I was with my exgirlfriend, crying to me how she and her boyfriend just broke up. My exgirlfriend knew that it was her and got pissed... cuz... I was speaking to her or something. OMG what a horrible experience. It definitely set me off the dating game until now. I am glad I'm single now lol.

I broke up with him over email while i was gone to Iraq and he was in the States. I felt like he is not giving me much attention and i am not worth anything to him anymore. I broke p with him before but it didnt stop me from giving him another chance. Matter fact it happened last night and he still havent wrote me anything so i guess its definitely. I had to break up even though it was against my will and my heart, but i couldn't let the man know that i am not a toy and i cant be talked to and wrote to only when he feels it is right for him. He said he gon work on it and will make an effort but weeks later it went downhill again for no reason. Or there was a reason where i totally thought he is cheating on me. I know it may not seem for you a worse break up but it devastated me and i am miserable now even though i knew i had to do it and i know there is no way to go back and fix this.

My ex was acting strangely one day and when I asked, he told me he wanted a break. I agreed and the next day I saw him snogging 'Peaches' the pretty aerobics instructor from the gym.
That hurt! Especially as I couldn't compete with the peachy bum in lycra.
With hindsight it was not a healthy relationship anyway but it took a long time to get over the shame of being dumped for a bimbo.

The worst break-up I had was a plain and simple one, yet it got worse afterwards. She broke up with me, and I didnt mind because we knew we could be friends and still enjoy being with each other, but then I found out she was cheating on me for a senior (she's a freshman btw) and she got fingered by him while i was goin out with her! after that, things went way downhill.

Been dating the guy for 4 months, then We boke up. He took it nicely, but tried to get me back. Didnt work.
I would get calls from him at 3am! Everytime and he would just hang up, then he told everyone we we're still dating, and follow me around the school.
Then I had to cuss him out from 3 weeks of this happing. He stopped but still stared at me. Then he moved away. Boy, i was happy.
