Yes, three personaly. Both of my sisters kids who were born at 5 months and 5 1/2 months and my old neighbors granddaughter who was born without a stomache, half a splean, part of a liver, part of a kidney, and a hole in her heart. If it was not for medical research all three of these kids, who are now 4 years and 10 years (sisters kids) and 18 years old (neighbors granddaughter) would not have made it.

My first child would not have been born without the help of modern science. I had to be on special meds all through the pregnancy and I had to be induced early due to complications. Since she was preemie scientific research and modern medicine combined to result in excellence in care and her homecoming in under a month. Earlier than first expected, as with most preemies today the outlook for them is far better due to scientific research. I personally also credit all the prayers said for baby and me. I thank God everyday for the the doctors, and nurses who took care of her.
