Yes, he thinks that just by telling you that he will be able to have huis cake and eat it to so to speak. He seems like he is a player...scratch that he is a player or he wouldn't be saying this will in a relationship with another girl.. If I was you I would chalk this up as a dead issue and find someone that wil appreciate you. You are absolutely right if he loved you he would be with you. As long as you are entertain the idea he is going to have this "power" over you(meaning you think well maybe he does). Ignore him and find yourself someone and watch his reaction.

I agree...i think that he is just playing games with you and lying to you. You should move on or ignore him for a while and if he see's what he's missing, then it'll make him want it even more. He's just telling you that he loves you still because he dosen't want to hurt you or he wants you and the other girl too...when really he can't have both! Don't hang on to him if he dosen't treat you right or lies to you. You and everyone else is so much better than that and deserve better than that! Good luck girl!

If he doesn't want to be with you exclusively, and that's your requirement for any sort of relationship with him, then you should probably cease all contact with him because it will not make you happy.
It's entirely possible to love someone and not want to be in a relationship with them, though. I've had somebody tell me I was everything they wanted except that I wouldn't abandon everything I believe in and convert to his religion, so while he loved me, he couldn't be with me anymore 'cause his religion was important to his life as well. Anyway, I'm not surprised that your little ultimatum makes the boy upset.
Either he's going to be with you or he's not. And if he's not, then leave him alone. You'll both be happier for it.

i think he is genuine baot saying he loves u but something mustbe holding back from committing to u lik eu want him to and its not just this new girl. as hard as this may sound even though he still has strong feelings for you he still prefers this other girl.
this other girl may just be more convenient for him even thouhgh he may not love her as much as he loves you.
i suggest you end most if not all contact with him as he is an unloyal irresponsable and a non trustworthy man. both u and the other girl deserve bettter.
gl and sory if i were a bit too harsh :S

You're paying him too much attention. Try ignoring him for a while and he'll miss you even more and he may realize how much he does love you.
