looking pale.
paling b4 ur eyes.
the colour drains from the face & extremities, as the patient loses blood thru the Lungs.
that's what i think it means.

I assume that the writer of the article in Wiljkepedia means that the skin loses its colour and becomes pallid. Remember that the articles in that publication are not necessarily written by experts.
