Wow, you should read my question about scripted and memorized answers to questions.

What I LOVE, however, is that you managed to do that in the form of a QUESTION!! You have gone above and beyond what most Mormons do.

One thing: Christ didn't go on a 2-year service between the ages of 19-24. He served God His whole life and started His public ministry when He was 30.

Here's some things you should add to your list:

they believe you need secret handshakes to be able to become a God and make your own worlds with your wife/wives

their first four prophets had multiple wives and conveniently abandoned the practice, Utah becoming a state within months of them doing so

they believe that Adam is a God and that he created the world

they believe that dark skin is a curse from disobeying God

they believe that you can't drink alcohol but think nothing of their founder, Joseph Smith, often being found passed out in a ditch early in morning hours after drinking all night and not going home to his (first) wife

Thai Buddhism has many of these attributes. 2 years as a monk, between age 14-24, grain diet, prophets (rinpoches to interpret Buddhist teachings), Single spouse, families are joined during life and after death. Except for the Chirst thing, (they try and live like the Buddha lived) it's the same. Young Thai monks do service work for households and rely on almsgiving for sustenance......

Obvious, the true answer, the True Church. Note that they believe in God/Jesus'Holy Guy as three separate beings, not three manifestations of the same thing. Can also be said that LDS people believe in the KJV but with the Joseph Smith translations (ie, look at Matthew 7 to see what I mean). So does this make the KJV used by the Mormons a vulgate KJV, or more properly, a Joseph Smith translation of the KJV?

They also believe that John the Revelator is still roaming the earth and never died.

They also believe that there are people living on the moon.

They believe that there were other tribes of Israel living in the Americas and the native Americans we think of today, killed them.

They believe that there is another planet where souls float around waiting for other good Mormons to procreate like rabbits, putting the welfare system in jeopardy so that they can then be good and one day achieve a God like status.

They are crazy because that is the way they were brought up, wearing the eternal smile underware that is endorsed by the church and was really a way for the early founder to create a monopoly in order to make money.

Their early leaders proclaimed that Salt Lake City was the new Zion because God told Brigham Young so, then found out that the water was salty after getting out of the Wasatch mountains. This revelation from God cause many of them to starve to death and die of malnourishment.

They outcast non Mormons who try to live in SLCity and choose not to go to the local ward. They are very nice for the first three months, but after they decide that the non Mormons are not going to convert, they wipe their feet of them and their once friendly neighbors turn cold and don't invite them over anymore.

What is religion? How would you define it? Would you find the word religion in the Bible? You will find the word religious there, but religion? Jesus did not preach a 'religion'. Could it be that it is only manmade laws and rules set up by some organization? I would want no part of that. What I would choose to put my faith in is a God who created me, who loves me and not just me but every single person born on the face of this earth. A God who sent Christ to die a brutal death so that those of you who choose to mock and disbelieve might still have a hope someday as you cling to death...that yes..He loves you and even as one takes his last breath God still holds out hope that you will turn to Him that He might offer you hope as you pass over that line between life and death.

sanfear is full of ****! I've lived in SLC and the water is not salty, and there were no deaths from drinking salty water. The Great Salt Lake is salty because the FRESH water drains into it, and the only natural outlet is evaporation, which leaves the trace minerals (in all fresh water) behind.
I don't believe you ever lived in SLC because you would know that! I lived there for years, studying a the U, and my neighbors brought me buffalo wings and other snacks on holidays, long after I'd moved there.

Also, aren't you more than a little but psycho and perverted to care what kind of underware [SIC] other people are wearing?

I thought you meant the mormons, but then you confused the 2 year recruiting service with a good thing that benefits mankind and bares a resemblance to anything Christ did.

You're describing the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

As for my religion, I go to Mass regularly, and am a member of a very large Trinitarian denomination whose current earthly head has taken the name of Benedict.
