I want to go back to school, I have the core down and want to finish off all the practicals for cosmetology. I am not working or receiving any money for spending. I have 3 foster children and one of my own that gets child support and that pays the bills, but when the foster kids move out I am gonna need a job to pay the bills. How can I get some extra money to start off before I receive my financial aid?

I have already tried to work, take care of a child and go to school at the same time, I will not do that again. I am a single parent and do not have another adult at home to help with the rest of the things I need to do. I am more interested in getting a small loan before my financial aid kicks in. I know that fin aid doesn't take effect until after the first couple of weeks of school where I am planning to go.
Plus I already know what I am going to do (nursing is NOT my thing, I would pass out)

Financial Aid should cover all costs including rent and food (and of course tuition and books) as long as you are willing to accept loans.

You can get extra money by having a paper route. I know it sounds pathetic but it is easy money.

Also you seem to be qualified to work with children. How about some babysitting? Maybe your foster kids can help out.

I'm sure there are a lot of part time jobs as well or seasonal work as it is coming up on good weather.

there is a big need for nursing aides
get a state certification and work respite (in homes_)
or in a nursing home or a hospital

most good jobs in the auto industry have been outsourced so that is going to put a crimp in the American economy

good news..the minimum wage is being raised so you will be making more money but bad news is the immigrants from all over are taking most of the entry level jobs..so good luck..it sounds you will have to either upgrade your status via education or go on receiving financial aid...
