Definitely. For tea, try drink not more than six cups a day.

Many population studies documenting the health benefits of drinking green tea are based in Asia, where people typically drink 3 cups of green tea a day.

The United Kingdom Tea Council recommends drinking up to 6 cups a day owing to the caffeine content. Individuals with special conditions should drink even less and take appropriate precautions.

What can go wrong drinking too much green tea? Three reasons: caffeine, minerals and green tea side effects.

You can drown from drinking too much water, so I would assume that it would be the same with tea or any other liquid. Black & green tea often have caffeine, so you would want to keep that in mind if drinking a lot. Anything in too large of quantity can be bad for you.

Yes. Tea obviously contains water, and if you drink too much of it without urinating you can die from hydrotoxicity (as seen in the case of the "Hold Your Wee for a Wii" wrongful death suit).

Also, technically you can die from a caffiene intoxication. But the amount of tea required to reach intoxication would be physically impossible to drink in the require time.

The caffeine can either cause or aggravate both sleep and anxiety disorders.

In the end, you would have to drink a massive amount of tea before you would see any seriously ill effects.

I love my tea and will often drink 12 cups a day, then suddenly I will go off it for a few weeks. Then I drink fruit teas :)

if you get addicted to the caffeine, that could be a bad thing. You can get a bad headache when you miss your routine caffeine.

Other than that, i don't think you can drink too much tea..its very thirst quenching.

Tea is actually good for you, its just when you put sugar in it a lot of times, then that could be a problem.
