Ive saw this before but dont no much about it. I dont think it is serious, i think its a kind of conjunctivitis like humans get. You are doing the right thing bathing the eyes with a damp cloth and warm water but i would take it to the vets to be sure.

My dog is getting that too. I live in Houston and the pollen is real high. All the cars here are a green looking color because of all the pollen. I assumed it was the pollen and stuff getting in his eyes and the yellow stuff is his tears trying to clear it up. Maybe you should keep the dog inside for a few days.

I would take it to the vet because it could be many different things. It could be allergies, conjunctivitis, entropian or numerous other things. Best to have you vet take a look at it so they can figure out what it is.

It depends where u live. If you live where its just starting to warm up from winter (like where i live) then its prob. def. allergies. If its already summer.... its allergies.

So my final guess would be allergies.
You could try giving him benadril allergy. We give that to our choc. lab and it doesn't knock him out or anything. You could also get drops for his eyes.

GOOD LUCK!

your vet would be able to tell you...I wouldn't wait for it to get worse...thats cruel to the dog and could cause bad damage that will cost you in the long run
