White liquors do give you a headache, but brown liquors will give you a backache. When I drink hard liquor, usually mix it with water and ice. And the next morning, I fell just fine.

Just the opposite- brown liquors tend to give you headaches more. And the more sugar in the drink, the worse the hangover.
