Why would you not just say you had a small burger?

No you've had a piece of lettuce and a slice of tomato. Besides there's no dressing so that's evidence of a lack of salad.

Maybe if you change it and add more veggies and some salad dressing you'd have a salad burger.

Haha. No, eating a piece of lettuce and a slice of a tomato does not count. Most people would just consider it as you eating a piece of lettuce and a slice of tomato, not a salad.

if it has 2 pieces of lettuce, some onion and tomato on it you can call it a salad lol. but you can embelish as needed. if you ate the burger with french fries you could say you had potato salad.
