I watch CBN, and its all about people giving to others and helping the world. I want to do it so bad, but am in a bad situation myself with money, etc.
I am curious if anyone thinks its true that if you give, and the more tides you give the bigger God will reward you?
Some people on that appear on the show say they gave the last money of what they had and all a sudden they were blessed. I want to believe it so badly, and I would love to do that to help others because I love helping the people in need, but Im scared to give my all, all that I got. Do I need to trust in the lord more, and believe this? I just dont want to give everything I have then have totally nothing at all.

Tides can be the cause of great harm. There are many places in the world that have great differences in tidal levels. This causes wildlife and even humans to be caught in a tidal change and eventually drown. If CBN is asking you to get involved in Tides I suggest staying away and turning the channel.

Oh the same applies to tithes. If you really want to help people, find a way to do it directly, and never trust anyone else to manage your offerings. I am sure you can think of many people who need help in your own community. Help them first, it is the right thing to do. Did you know that 97% of offerings and tithes given to Churches end up going towards processing data and marketing?

If you give money to CBN and they use it to print a flyer telling africans about Jesus, does it really help them, or would a bag of rice go further in showing them God's love?

Poor little Mabooboo can't eat a flyer that says Jesus Loves you, he probably can't even read it, but a bag of rice would feed his whole family for a week. Definitely focus on what you can do directly and leave the CBN marketing campaign to southern creationists.

isreal were told to tithe 10 % that is not still aplicable to christians we should give freely but wisely. I do not think you should leave yourself with nothing but if you have enough give what you can on the other hand Jesus praised the widow for giving her last mite ( pennys).
