there is a prophetic statement in Sahih Bukhary tells that prophet Muhammad went through some hard time when he could not receive any revealation from god. The statement tells that he was so upset that he tried many times to commit SUICIDE (by throwing himself from mountains) until angel Gabriel appeared to him and told him not to do that.
Is that statement true?

ok.....I just read the hadith. It says that Khadija's cousin had died and there was no one to guide him. He was confused and in despair. People mocked him constantly. I dont think this is suprising for anyone in that situation. Getting revelations from God is not such a small thing.....he must fear he was going crazy or something. Anyone would probably do the same in his situation. This doesn't prove anything really....but it should show everyone who thinks he was lying that he wasn't. Even if you believe Islam isn't the truth, this should show you that he was not a deciever, in his mind at least he was telling the truth. And I have complete faith that he was.
