"Important Tip -- Wash and thoroughly dry the basil leaves.
It is very important that the basil leaves are totally dry.
Using 2 bunches of fresh basil, pick the basil leaves removing all stems.
Tear the basil leaves into smaller pieces.
Lay the basil leaves on a baking sheet and place in 350-degree oven.
Bake until crumbly -not brown about 7-10 minutes.
Once the basil has cooled, crumble it with your hands to refine.
Next, place crumbled basil into a sieve and press through the sieve to your desired finer texture."

I take them off the plant by branches, hang upside down-wrap string around the bottoms so they can hang. Let them dry and then pick them off and crunch them. Put all the crunched leaves in a spice bottle. Very good and much better than the store bought stuff!

If the leaves at the prompt are not slimy or off in scent then the sprigs are superb. If there are in undemanding words some leaves that you've in question then eliminate them and use some thing else. bear in options a touch Rosemary is going far, it may overpower some thing else you've as seasonings so use sparingly. sturdy eating!
