I've been talking to her for about a week now and me and her have a good bit in common with each other. We listen to some of the same music artists, (Phil Collins and Genesis), we've seen alot of the same movies, (Mallrats, and the rest of the View Askewniverse), we've played some of the same video games even! What I would like to know is how exactly do I go about asking if we could meet up some where such as a mall or restaurant? All I know of where she is that she's some where in the United States! What do you think I should do?

Just to let you know online romances can work. I met my partner on an american online game site and we are getting married next year. My advice to you is take it slow, get to know each other first before you meet, do alot of talking online, then progress to talking on the telephone. Once you have been doing this for a while and if both of you are willing, arrange to meet up in person, but for both of your safety's make sure it is in a public place such as you suggested, a mall, restaurant etc. 1 week is a very short time and to make sure this is someone that you really want to spend your time with consider my advice, my partner and myself knew each other for about 1 year before we met in person. And most of all good luck and i hope you have a long lasting meaningful relationship.

You've been talking to her for a week and don't even know what state she lives in??? Dude, figure out if she even lives anywhere near you before you start planning anything further. If, and only if, you live somewhat near each other suggest meeting at a public location for a drink. If you're going to have to travel a long distance just for a drink (more than that on a first meeting is asking a lot) it might not be worth it.

i think that you should give it more time because a week is definitely not enough time to get to know a person, especially online so give it a month or more then if you two are still talking then you should bring up the idea of meeting but first find out if she ever met anyone from the net before and more importantly, find out what state she lives in!

It's not time to meet her in person if you haven't even gotten to the point where you know where she lives. Just remember, people can be whoever, or whatever they want on the internet, get to know her much better before wanting to meet in person.

A week is too early. she'll think its a joke or would get scared away. Wait tell a month, then just ask her. Make sure both of you are comfortable with each other.

well you should just stay friends if your 5 or more years apart. Or else you'll sound like a stalker to her or a creepy old man. Hopefully you guys meet.

Just ask her.
Say "would you like to meet some time?"
The worst she's going to say is no.
