The opposite of common could be rare.
And the opposite of rare could be well done.
The opposite of common could also be exceptional, private, refined, unfamiliar, formal, etc. You've got a wide choice unless you narrow down the context.
Also - the opposite of unique might be ubiquitous, but probably not common.

Common in sociology does not mean lower class it means untitled, so the opposite would be titled gentry. Think of it in governmental terms you have, in Britain, the house of commons (historically representing the masses) and the house of lords (historically representing the gentry)

the commons in Parliament are not Lords
It can be land 'held in common'
It can be something that is not rare

A teacher would say "that's a common question that would come up".. so i guess the oppositve would be "a rare question to come up" or "unusual".
