I don't know why people answer questions just to blither. Dante is the only one giving you a correct answer: the age of consent in CT is 16. It is thus not an offense to have consensual sexual relations with a person who is 16.

Usually, statutory rape (depending on state law) is able to be reported by the parents without question when the girl is 16 or younger, and can be enacted the girl herself reports it when she's about 17, but here's your state's info:

First-degree sexual assault to have sexual intercourse with a person under age 13 if the actor is more than two years older

Second-degree sexual assault to have sexual intercourse with a person between ages 13 and 16 if the actor is more than two years older

10 to 25 years in prison with a mandatory minimum of five years if the victim is between age 10 and 16 and 10 years if the victim is under age 10. The combined sentence and special parole must equal at least 10 years

So for your specific situation, as long as she doesn't report you, you'll be okay. Be careful now though, because if she does report you, you will be a sex offender for the rest of your life. Tread lightly please, this is a hard subject, and those feeling *in love* now. But if a situation does arrive (say you go to college and find somebody else, and she get upset, and reports you), you're screwed.

Don't know the law in CT, but Statutory Rape generally refers to sex with a minor, regardless of the age of the offender.

it is if the age of consent in ur state for females is over 16. in most states its 16 but you should check anyway just to be safe. and its not statutory rape if you are dating them. its if you have sex with them.

Technically, "yes", if you are having sex with her. However, When two people have been dating a while, this is rarely used. When it's used, it's mainly parents who are looking for any excuse to break the couple up. Hopefully the judges in your area would see right through that.

Yeah, you will be a child rapist if you have sex with a minor, so "go out" all you want, but keep it PG until you get married. The blogbaba has 5 daughters, and the law would be a minor inconvience to you if you messed with one of his daughters.

I am thinking it is... The law is that if you are under 18 there can only be 3 years difference. Anywhere after 18 is considered illegal.

having sex with her would be, and she doesn't have to be the one to complain, if her parents don't like you, and know you have had sex with her, they can report it, and your on your way to jail, i have a friend who got three years for picking up a girl at a bar and taking her home and having sex with her, only to find out she was only 16, she was in a bar with a fake id, and it didn't matter in his case!! be very careful.
