Depends if the other person is trustworthy or not. I need time to be able to decide if I can trust or not. I rather not trust blindly...... they have to be worthy of it too. I do tend to believe things at face value though...but I have learned to be cautious now.

Be trusting to the point where people call you a fool, and then go for more.

Not trusting. I've been disappointed by people too many times in my life.

The pointer on my scale is more on the trusting side than non-trusting, but I've learned to heed my alarm bells when they go off.

I'm not trusting, in general. I've lost too many things (materially), and I've had my heart broken too often. I've become FAR less trusting of people, and things are much better. Non-human animals, though, I trust much more than people as they will not harm you just because they wish to harm you.

I'm cautious. I won't distrust someone right away, but I'm not going to give them my trust completely either. Trust is earned. So until someone proves to me they're trustworthy, I put no expectations of trustworthiness on them.
