i am the admin but still cant install certain things, i have tried all of the fixes ive found that included changing registry and also disabled all firewalls and spywares and such any advice??

all systems have restrictions so you need to provide more info.
what is the error message
have you ever been able to install what it is you are having trouble doing at present.
you are an administrator but does not mean you have the ability to do every task.

What is the error you are getting?
The last time I dealt with the the person had mistakenly assigned permisions on the C:\ security Tab

windows xp. Do you have a password set for user accounts.Ihad similar problems ,called microsoft,simple fix was to add a password.slower to log on but corrected problem and safer to.
