I painted my room over 24 hours ago, is it okay to rehang the pictures I took down or should I wait longer?

depending on the type of paint you used and how many coats as well. if you used a flat paint and only went with one maybe two coats then 24 hours should be okay, as long as you did not primer or spackle. Usually more than 2 coats or if you went with a washable it takes longer to dry. Even though it is dry to the touch the iner layer is still drying so wait another 24 hours for that just to be on the safe side.

I painted my hallway yesterday, finished around 4 PM and hung everything including antique Japanese silk kimonos back on the wall this morning by 11.

hang away chances are if you used a water based latex paint you could of rehung in an hour after painting
