I am currently using Aveeno exfoliating scrub as a face wash, but have recently moved to France and am almost out of it. The reason I use this face wash is because it is very mild (as in no fancy "warming" agents or frangrances) and does not contain salicylic acid which makes my face have a weird allergic reaction where I get really tiny, clearish bumps that end up looking like I have scaley skin. SO... I am looking for a face wash that anyone knows of that does not contain salicylic acid and I can buy here, since I can't seem to find Aveeno anywhere.

Does anyone know?

I really like Biotherm's Acnopur face wash. It's gentle, unscented and salicylic acid free.

I would recommend, now that u live in europe, NEODERMA cleansing milk. Is very soft and has NO salicylic acid. Maybe u can also check Shiseido. One more tip... is better to scrub your face only once a week, by scrubbing everyday as a face wash you will take away the upperlayer of ur skin (epidermis) and it will become very sensitive. Use a cleansing milk with a tonic lotion instead.

I use baby wash as a facial cleanser. you can buy Johnson and Johnson Head to Toe Baby Wash, but I get the generic store brands, usually Walmart Equate brand for $.97. I'm sure you could find something like it in France. It's mild, but cleans well, it's cheap, and best of all it doesn't make my eyes burn. You can also use it as a hand wash, shower gel, and to wash your makeup brushes. Oh, yeah, and you can also wash your baby with it! Good stuff!

Oil of Olay makes a wonderful mild face wash which should be available where you are.My main concern for you is are you sure the Salicylic Acid that you are allergic to? Are you aware that Salicylic Acid is the main ingredient in aspirin? If you have never taken aspirin, and are concerned that you are allergic to Salicylic Acid, please NEVER take aspirin. I did, and ended up in the ER in Anaphalactic Shock. So, please be careful. And read ALL labels, because Salicylic Acid is in MANY products!

Nuetrogina makes a GREAT product. The spelling on that might be wrong. I used tons of stuff when I was younger. I used pro-active and all sorts of different stuff. This is the best thing I've found . . I use the whole product line my favorite is the 3 minute mask. LOVE IT. They are pretty good priced too. Try them, I have sensitive skin and these work wonders.

Cetaphil and Patricia Wexler MD skincare is amazing. I just purchased it and I love it already. Its for anti-aging and I am 29 years old. But its so gentle and has no fragrance. Its wonderful! You can find Cetaphil at CVS drugstores in the states. Patricia Wexler MD skincare can be found at Bath & Body stores. I am sure you can purchase online as well.
Aveeno you can purchase online as well, i'm sure.
