I believe your mom needs your support, If I had one more chance for my mom to need me for something life would have a meaning. I lost my entire family and now it's just me. She needs you. Please don't give up on her

There is nothing wrong with you not wanting to search the streets anymore. But, your mom probably took it as you giving up on your brother and not caring. You have to understand where she is coming from and that he is her child and she loves him unconditionally. Just explain to her your reasons or maybe offer to help in a more subtle way.

You have helped your Mother for 20 years.Give up the search and get on with your life.
Your Mother will get over it in time and realize your brother does not want to be found.
Very sad, as a Mother of an adult son, I understand her need to find him.But you have done enought.

Your mother's feelings got hurt. If you can sit with her and talk to her about how you feel. Tell you are tired of looking for him. Especially since you were 10yrs old. Tell her you could help find someone that can help find him, but that it's too stressful for you. I've been looking for my brother for the past 15yrs. And I haven't been able to. The first couple of years I went from door to door and tried talking to everyone that we knew. I couldn't take it anymore and told my mother how I felt. Because he is older than me by five years and I feel he doesn't want to be found. I've even posted an ad on the Internet (missing persons), but nothing. She his mother and SHE won't stop looking for him and that's O.K. but it's too much for you. I hope you guys can discuss this and continue your relationship with her.

wow that long.... she needs to spend her time on you a daughter that IS there for her and now shes not speaking to you... isnt very good on her part... im sure she feels guilty for something she has done to ur brother that he chose the streets.. but to me she should make you feel special that u are there.... I wouldnt want my mom to be out there alone... is there anyone else that can go with her? or hire a private investigator... NO telling what happened to him in the 20 yrs hes been out there.... good luck

I understand how you must feel, but try to remember how your mother must feel. That is still one of HER children. You should always be there for your mother. It seems that she has been there for you for 30 years. Have compassion !! Mothers are very special in JESUS'S heart. Please support your mother whatever the situation

I think you are right, and your mom will probably realize that soon enough and start speaking to you. You have to give her time though, because it is her son and she probably feels like she should never give up looking for him. I have never been in a situation like yours though, sooo...
