Ive been thinking about it for a while, and found no solid advice on actually picking up and moving there. I currently live in Yonkers, NY, and am dying to move! I found some great, decently priced beautiful houses that would cost a fortune here in NY. But im not sure if i should move there. What do u guys think? I need to move to a place where cost of living is low, but has excellent schools and neighberhoods, and beautiful houses. I would appreciate any suggestions. Also, what places in atlanta are good to live in?

You might want to do a bit more homework on Savannah, or any other place you'd like to live. Just remember, if you live in a big city, or big town, the cost of homes are a bit more expensive than if you live somewhere else. Savannah is beautiful, but I don't think I'd live there. Mostly because my family is closer to Atlanta. I also wouldnt live in Atlanta. If you can find a suburb outside of Atlanta or Savannah, that would be your best bet. There's many schools and neighbourhoods that are great outside of Atlanta, but I'm not sure about Savannah. Here's a few links you can check out.

I simply LOVE Savannah and would choose it heads over Atlanta....it is also just over the bridge from Hilton Head, SC and 10 miles from Tybee Beach, Ga.

Why not go to Savannah for 3-4 days and check it out. It is cultural, full of charming history, gorgeous trees and flowers, homes, and upbeat lively people and funky shops etc

NO! What ever you do, dont go to savannah. I visited that place and its UGLY! The ocean is HORRIBLE! It smelled so bad. The place is so old to. And the people there are red necks to. Whatever you do stay in the north, the south is horrible.
