Just never thought to ask, it stems from a convo with my gf on Saturday!

It appears I cannot give blood for the reason I have had a blood transfusion myself

Go to http://www.blood.co.uk They have a web page telling you who can and can't give blood. There's a phone number if you're still not sure.
