I pierced my daughters ears when they were 6 months

Old enough to follow all of the directions afterwards (like using alcohol and cleaning the site, rotating the earrings, etc.)

I totally disagree with babies having their ears pierced. It seems cruel to me to do that to them when they don't understand.

At age 11 or 12, you should be ready.

Just know that if you don't follow the directions, the site can become infected/irritated and it is very painful. Then you can't wear them for a while, and the hole may close up. So then you've done it all for nothing.

Hope this helps.

Well a doctor will pierce a baby's ears at 4 months. Besides on a doctor waiting until the child is 4 months I don't know. I think your mom just isn't ready for you to have you ears pierced. Usually it is already done before the child is one years old.

At least old enough to spell the word pierced properly.

Piercings of any kind are a big responsibility. I didn't get my first one until I was 19. So just be patient. You will have them before you know it, and you will appreciate them all the more for it.

Any age really. My daughter is 10 months and im thinking about getting her ears pierced. Shes so young that she won't remember the pain when shes older.

Well mama knows best, what ever she says goes.
I had my daughters ears pierced at 5 weeks.
She's 15 and has 3 piercings on each ear + the naval,
(btw....my daughter earned her piercings through excellent grades, that was the deal we made.)
You have to respect your parents guidelines.

I would say that the best age for pearsing the ears would be for a girl it would be around 6 months (they won't actually feel it) and for a guy, NEVER: you're a guy
