I'm allergic to artificial sweeteners and I am trying to figure out all of the names used for these sweeteners since I continue to have allergic reactions and having to use my epi-pen for them. I'm reading labels, but if I don't know all the names how am I supposed to stay away. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, the responses so far have been helpful. I'm aware of sacharin, aspertame, and the other tabletop sweeteners, but I was just curious of the other "not as well known" sweeteners.

You're probably already alert to Spenda and Equal, perhaps the two more popular brands. Avoid sacchrine, too. Anything that says asprertame, and please excuse the incorrect spelling. One natural sweetener that is low glycemic and delicious is Agave Nectar. It looks like honey, but is actually much sweeter and can be used in even cold beverages. I personally like it much better than Stevia, another popular natural alternative. Take care of yourself.
