1,For peoplepc, i have no idea since i don't use it. You can call (877) 947-3327 (peoplepc service No.)to ask them.

2, To find out how much RAM, right click on "Computer" on your Vista PC's desktop- Choose "Properties".It gives you infomation about your PC's CPU, RAM, and a Windows Experience Index score. For Home Premium, a WEI score of 3 or higher is required. 1 G RAM(1024MB) is sufficient for Vista, however 2G (2048 MB) is suggested.

3,You cannot uninstall Windows Vista, but you can reinstall your previous operating system, which then replaces Windows Vista. To reinstall your old operating system, you must have the original installation disc. Back up your programs and files, insert the installation disc into your computer, and then reinstall the old operating system. To regain the hard disk space used by Windows Vista, reformat the disk during the reinstallation process. After reinstalling your previous operating system, reinstall your programs and files.
The above info is from microsoft:

If you don't have internet, don't forget to back up your Dell laptop's driver.(usually its in C:\Dell\Drivers). You can either burn a disk or copy them on to a external hard drive.

If you decide to go back to XP, it will take quite a while depending on how many applications you have on your pc.

Good luck~

Pop in the disk for XP2, and follow the directions.

As for the amount of ram you have, look up the specs of the PC you already know on yahoo.

Then consider that Vista has more security loopholes than you can imagine, so maybe you should leave that for later when they've worked a few more bugs out.

Well the first thing it that you shouldn't be downloading Windows Vista, it ILLEGAL, unless you are purchasing it online from Microsoft or something. You can see how much RAM you have by pressing + Pause Break. You can also go back to Windows XP by using the System Restore function in WIndows.
