You're really teacher and your grammar is that bad?
Combat instructor is a pretty generic term...not really sure what you mean. If you are talking about Army drill sergeants, who provide combat training to beginning Soldiers, well, they do a lot of different things. For the most part, they are responsible for transforming civilians into Soldiers by providing an indoctrination into military life...giving recruits their first doses of drill and ceremony, inspections, marching, military customs, etc. As far as the actual instruction, most of that is provided by a combination of the drill sergeants and cadre instructors at the training site...for example instruction in hand to hand combat, basic rifle marksmanship, etc. Army training is provided in a 'crawl, walk, run' format where you learn the basics to start off, and those skills are utilized later in the more advanced training. So, for example, before you learn the basics of performing as a member of a rifle squad, you have to actually learn how to use your rifle.
I don't know if this is going to help you...

You're a teacher.
Ugh. You're a great example of why I got out of the teaching field. I couldn't handle working with idiots with such poor grammar.
Besides that... "doing a thing for a class"????? Perhaps you mean, "I'm preparing a lesson for my class....."
Frightening.
... Going to look up the homeschooling requirements right now.
