I think if reincarnation were scientifically proven, it might encourage some people to simply check out and start over. But life is not a video game. We only get one quarter.

Aliens are a different story. Obviously, proof of aliens would make people aware that we are not alone in this vast universe. But beyond that, I think the most significant changes would come from whatever information we learned from these aliens.

I don't think that UFO's and aliens would really change me that much as I do believe that there is life on other planets. I do question whether or not God allows them to visit our planet. If he does, I would be really embarrassed to show off our wars and contentions to other peoples.

Science will never indisputably prove reincarnation because it does not happen. Like it or not, it does not happen.

Aliens could possibly be indisputably proven but I doubt reincarnation can.

Still, hypothetically, I think there would be riots in the street.

On my good days I'd like to think that most folks would be enlightened enough to accept the evidence, the physical proof before them, with good grace and good sense....

but my good days are rare lately. I know better.

At least one-third of the planet's population would be freaked *way* the hell out, all out of proportion to the scale of the event. Why? Because they'd have physical *proof* staring them in the face all over, that their ways, their *religion*, their GOD Itself, was *wrong*, always had been.

In short, people would then *know* they were part of the problem and not part of the solution, and since they wouldn't want to ever admit it....they'd go psycho--no, even more so than what they do now--and do their best to paint everyone else, human or otherwise, as "spawn of the Devil" and essentially, all of Earth would end up like Palestine, in terms of incessant and non-stop and *utterly mindless* ultra-violence dragging all of human civilization into the gutter.

In short....your fundies of ALL faiths would not be able to handle one iota of the truth. They'd *all* freak, they'd ALL declare holy warfare on *all* of humanity and do their dead-level best to destroy the whole world.

It would be a _Dawn of the Dead_ scenario, only with the religious fundies (again, of ALL faiths) being the Zombies.

And since "freedom of religion" is one of the foundational civil and human rights of Western Civilization itself....we wouldn't have the *will* to stop the madness and save ourselves. We would be so utterly screwed.

That answer the Question for you? :P

You mean like immediately or gradually over generations, sort of like the cultural assimilation of the fact (sorta like what happened with evolution). Initially, there will be problems, but eventually, religion will cope and the bible passages will be re-interpreted to encapsulate the new findings, as has happened throughout history. The Muslims might hold out for a longer while though.

Reincarnation cannot be proved, as it is not so. as to ufo claims, I believe its plausible that there are UFO. but doesnt change our Christian beliefs. In the Bible there is a statement that sounds like we are watched from other planets, and I believe its true, for them to see what the effects of sin are, and how perverted ppl are when they turn from God. Too bad ppl dont believe that, and get it figured out. Jesus is coming soon. Be ready to meet Him when He comes.

No because other things have been proven of the supernatural and yet people still disbelieve.

People will believe whatever their leaders tell them. Most people are sheep and they never think twice about it.

I wouldn't be shocked if reincarnation and U.F.O.'s were proven. I've always believed in them myself.

UFOs would probably cause people to panic, which is why the MIB exist. I don't see how reincarnation can be scientifically proven, though.

Perhaps people would be a lot less self-obsessed & realize they're not the only ones in the world who suffer the universe. Although I'm being hopeful now, not really a realist.
