Just some things about the look and feel of the wedding - it will occur on a Saturday evening in January 2008 in a country club, very formal.

I like the shape of the first one so I'm picking it I'm guessing it will also feel more luxurious which is very important. the pattern of the second was nice but the shape and material it is made of are the turn offs for me ..even tho the postage may be cheaper.
See if they will send a sample of each sometimes holding and feeling an invite will change your mind also you could get it weighed and see exactly what the extra postage equals and see if you feel it is worth it.

First of all Congrats!!! It sounds like your wedding will be a classy affair. Having said that, I love the second invitation. It is clean and elegant and will fit in with the theme of your wedding. I don't know what the colors of your wedding will be but any color ribbon will fit well with the paper. Good Luck!

I love the first invitation! An invitation is a first impression that someone will have about your wedding, and sort'uve like a glimpse of what to expect at the wedding. This is why I choose the first one. It looks like it will fit very well with your formal wedding. It is beautiful, and says "elegant" and definitely "formal". The pattern is very tastefully done, and intricate. Good Luck with your planning! and on your wedding. You can't go wrong with either invitation in my opinion:-)

I like both but for your very formal country club event I would choose style one like everyone else has said.
I know you can get any colour for the ribbon but I am more worried about the size. It is huge! If you got a smaller more delicate ribbon I think it would look much better.

Congrats.

I love them both, I think you have found some beautiful invites, are you going with those colors or are they tailored to match your wedding colors?
I would go with what ever one goes with your dress better, I say this because I have an ivy pattern similar to your first invite on my wedding dress and had I found that invite I would have used it, however I love the old formal quiet look of the second and if you are not going to have ivy in anywhere in your wedding .... dress, cake, florals, ect... then I would go with the second.
hope this helps

Either one would be fine for a formal wedding. I lean more towards the first one for one reason. I think the squareness of the first one looks more "stately" than the skinnier one. I love the bow size too...anything smaller would look out of proportion to the size of the invite.

The first one.

They are both fabulous options. Keep in mind, though, that the longer of the 2 (your second choice) is going to cost a bit more in postage since it will require an odd sized envelope. Other than that, they both look beautiful! Either would be fabulous!
