The girl looks old fashioned. Her hair is sholder length. It is curley and red. The book looks like a prayer book.

I'm actually working on this particular painting now, and have been for quite some time, on and off.

Could have been Renoir. He did several bust style paintings of young red-haired girls in the 1800's. That would be my guess.

I think the one you might mean is by Norman Rockwell, called "Girl At The Mirror". You can see it at the link below. Hope this helps.
