farting and my fiancee?

my fiancee that i live with and have been for 4 yrs now...i have a toddler son with him....he keeps farting and it stinks...no matter how much i remind him that it is rude, he says they just fall out and he can't help it but it is so digusting...i dont know what else to do about this situation..

he even does it in his sleep and it wakes me up cause it stinks so bad.

Short term-
Charcoal tablets. Not to redue the quantity, but to reduce the smell. Some say a lit candle will also reduce smell, check out Mythbusters on that one.

Long term-
Check diet. Change if required. Some foods (onions, mushrooms, baked beans) may be the cause.
