After being fed my dog used to pick up his dish from the edge and swing it around like a toy - he'd do this with his water dish too, so we got him metal bowls that sit on the ground with no way for him to pick them up. He started pushing his food dish around with his nose. He would do a full circle around the Island in the kitchen before he would sit down and just eat it.
Also, he used to watch TV and bark when animals came on the screen (even if there was no sound on, he especially hated horses). We'd tell him quiet and then he'd do a quiet gruff noise until the animal was no longer on the screen.
We had to put him down a year ago - but we miss his funny quirks terribly!

My westie watches tv, and when she sees a dog on the screen she barks and whines because it wont play with her. Also, if you tell her to act crazy she Will run around the house really fast, then when I say ok, stop acting crazy she lays in my lap panting. She does this every time, and it is soo funny. Also, when I take her to the dog Park and the big dogs chase her she runs under the picnic table and taunts them, and they try, so hard to get under the table, then she takes off really fast from under the table, and starts the process all over again.

Both of mine only potty at home in the backyard. They don't even pee when we're out for a walk. I didn't train them to do this, the older dog just does it and the younger picked it up. Boy do they get cranky when we're on the road. Both of them spend forever finding an acceptable spot then.

When my newfoundland eats, he'll take a mouthful of food, carry it to the entryway carpet, eat it and spill it all over the place there, then go back, get another mouthful, carry it to the carpet, eat it there, and then keep doing that until he's done eating.

My Rhodesian Ridgeback Male puppy (currently 7 months old) will be playing, growling, and wrestling with his Stepsister my Year and a Half Old, and when she has enough she growls and snaps at him like "ok thats enough!" I call her the "fun police"(it seems to be a trait in the females i've met) because whenever someones running in the house (or having fun) she locks her eyes on them, growls, and sometimes gets up and chases them. These dogs have such high prey drives they can and will chase you if you run. But its not to hurt or scare anyone, its just their hunting instinct. Of course my puppy thinks its all play right now, and swipes his paw at her and pops her right on the head! She gets totally pissed off, and she'll nip at him and bare her teeth. But he never seems to learn and will push and push her. He gets up and play bows and barks very loudly at her. She eventually gets up and runs for her kennel for safety. Once inside, he protests outside the door for her to come out, barking and growling with more play bows. Eventually he shoves his way in the kennel with her and chases her out! And they both come flying out, hackles raised, and standing on their back feet with their mouths biting each others necks, and using their legs and paws like sword fighters. They eventually wear therselves out and she finally lays down for a while, with my puppy nearby and after he wakes up he gets up and tries to shove her off their pillow, and he sits right on her if she doesn't move. She growls at him, and then here we go all over again! They fight like Stepbrother and Stepsister. Its so funny! But she is a good mom though. She is only trying to teach the puppy lessons. :)

We have two leonburgers (big, cross of newf, st bernard & great pyrenees). They both like to sleep with a stuffed gingerbread toy & suck on the hand; the older one also sucks her own thumb.
