I'm only going to be walking I will wear leggings or trackies as well. Would it be possible?

Runners at charity races are known for dressing up to get media attention for their cause.
Theres a guy who runs the Marine Corps marathon every year dressed as Kermit the Frog,
and one who runs the Boston Marathon carrying a tuba - to raise money for music in schools.

If you're over 18, you could always wear just a tutu. You'd get lots of media coverage and bring lots of extra attention to the cause that way.

Seriously, if there is no dress code for this event and you want to be unique, i see no reason why you can't wear a tutu. You will be easy to spot.
