Runners at charity races are known for dressing up to get media attention for their cause.
Theres a guy who runs the Marine Corps marathon every year dressed as Kermit the Frog,
and one who runs the Boston Marathon carrying a tuba - to raise money for music in schools.

If you're over 18, you could always wear just a tutu. You'd get lots of media coverage and bring lots of extra attention to the cause that way.
