You need to speak with your airline in the UK to find out the costs/procedures. Along with making any special accomodations necessary (medical, special food, carriers, etc.)

You will also need paperwork proving kitty has ALL of his/her vaccinations in order and up to date along with being fixed. If there are ANY special medical issues at the time of the flight a vet needs to write out detailed instructions about the issue affecting the cat, medications needed/how often/how much/how long/liquid/pill/powder/etc.

You also need to know what vaccinations are required for each country. Some don't require Leukemia for example. It is an example. The 2 different Embassy's will let you know. Or guide you to the place that will tell you.

Also you need to call the appropiate authorities in Canada to find out the process for allowing the cat into their country. Is there a quarentine process/how long/cost/who pays (them, you)/visiting/location of quarentine, ect.

First call should be to Canada's Airports Customs department. They will give you multitudes of information.

A LOT of countries WILL make you pay for the entire quarentine process. We are talking food supplied, any medical issues, supplies, ect.

Some countries will keep a pet (cat/dog/bird/lizard/fish) up to 6 months+...

Some countries don't allow certain breeds of animals.

Like I said call Canada's Customs Department and the Canadian airline/port you'll be using.

The UK transfer will be the easiest part.

Good luck sweet pea...

Check out what type of cat you want and then go to the webside of the particular breeder. You can just type in the particular breed you want and walah.!!! you have so many types to choose from and some many breeders. They would be able to tell all the details and the cost.
I live in Australia and I think it's cheaper in here but if I were you I would check out different countries. Cost and import paperwork is different. Good luck!!

Most airlines have a special program called "petsafe" cats and most other animals are allowed to fly from the Uk to america and canada.
you have to make reservations far in advance to avoid complications. You will have to get a USDA approved pet carrier and special stickers for the carrier. It has to be large enough for them to fully turn around. Most airlines allow you to take your pet in a carrier intoth cabin with you.
You will have to do some paperwork and it will cost around 50$ to the airline.

Good luck,
Charlotte

the vast difficulty of course is rabies, because of the fact the united kingdom is rabies unfastened. there is a few kind of branch of Agriculture close to you (that's what they call it interior the U. S.) and that they are familiar with all of the regulations, attempt centers, etc. call them and notice what they propose. rather get the counsel from a competent source, than locate out on the final minute which you probably did no longer do something stunning!

you should contact the British embassy in your country and they will supply you with that information so you don't get the incorrect info here. I do know there is a 6 month quaranteen for your pet once it arrives in England.
