First time at being a mother is so hard...bless your heart. But rest assured what your baby has is completely normal. And It does look like acne and in reality it kind of is. Babies start producing oil glands before they start having active pores in their faces. In turn they get this rash on their little faces which doctors call a "newborn rash" It can last for weeks so don't stress. Just wash the area good with a baby soap and avoid putting any lotion on it. Just keep it dry and I promise it will go away. Good luck and I 'm sure your going to be a great mother...Just relax and enjoy the baby.

A lot of babies get acne. My daughter had little pimples(white heads) on her face too, I asked the doc and she said to just leave it alone and it will go away, and it did. It is very common. Just wipe her/his face with a cloth, if she was allergic to something she would have the rash all over, i'm sure you know this but don't use clearasil or anything it will burn her/his delicate skin.

Well I know what its like trying to raise a baby and needing some answers to questions. well here's what I have to suggest you need take him/her to a doctor first and if you dont want to do that the you need to first change the soaps that you are using on the baby, then STOP letting people kiss the baby in the face. he/she may just be allergic to something. but you really should take the baby to a doctor.Good Luck

make an appointment with the pediatrician.
till then, change all lotions and soaps that you use on the baby -including laundry soaps. keep an eye on the baby's diet and note if any foods make the rash worse. try keeping the baby cooler than usual.
