other options is boil some lettuce in water and pour it on your cup let it cool a little and drink it,its a very natural way to get to sleep

I definitely do not recommend over the counter medical type sleeping pills like Unisom. These types of things tend to be habit forming which is probably why your mom won't let you have them. Have you considered trying valerian root? It is a natural herb that helps you sleep. You should be able to find it in the vitamin section under the brand Nature's Way. Considering how young you are the full dose (3 capsules) would be too powerful. If you try this, try just one capsule.
If you don't want to do that you can also find it as a tea in some stores. You can also try something like Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime tea which you can find in any grocery store. If you use tea, only sweeten it with honey or stevia. Stevia is a no calorie sweetener made from the leaves of the stevia plant. It can be found in the health food section of a well stocked grocery store or in any health food store. I don't ever recommend using artificial sweeteners because they are dangerous and have side effects that might not be noticeable until many years later.

Why dont you try to work out for half an hour and then take a good and relaxing bath before you go to bed.
Dont watch TV! and dont eat anything or drink anything before you go to bed because that will only make your system work hard when you are sleepein and youll want to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
If the room you are in is the problem, try to find the best corner in your room where the temperature bothers you least.
If that doesnt work talk to your parents and try finding a solution to your problem by changing rooms with your sister or another solution.
I hope this all works out for you because i know whats it like to not sleep well.
Good luck.

Try a over the counter sleeping pill. Make sure to read the label so make sure it's not habit forming. Occasional use of a sleeping aid is not harmful., I've done it many times when I am exhausted but can't fall asleep or stay asleep on my own.
