I hear people say things like " The Truth of Jesus Christ " and stuff like that all the time. But is it the Truth? Do they know it because they feel it? Do they feel it because they know it?
I tend to use the word Truth differantly.
I can have Faith that my car will get me to work today.
I can Believe that my car will get me to work today.
I will not KNOW that my car will get me to work today until it actually gets me to work.
And thats the Truth.

Religions do tend to use altered meanings of everyday words in an attempt to manipulate the whole suspension of disbelief issue that could cause their members to think and doubt.
Some good examples are KNOW and TRUTH, as you point out.

They are using the word in the traditional sense in that they are talking about what actually is true about Jesus (according to their worldview). You likely have a different worldview, and therefore have a different set of beliefs.
I challenge everyone to examine their worldviews to see if they make sense of the world. I mean, REALLY challenge your worldview, the things you hold as primary.
BTW, I contend that even after your car gets you to work, you still do not and can never know that it WILL get you to work (future). All you know is that it DID get you to work (past). Philosophical quibble.

What should you do? Give yourself an "A" in proper grammar, because you're right. "Faith" and "Truth" are not the same thing.

ok that grew to become into too long, attempt and condense it. the main subject I somewhat have with theists (and that i pass to apply Christianity right here as I somewhat have the main awareness of that faith) isn't that they think in a god, i do no longer care approximately that, that's what they think approximately human beings. I somewhat have christians telling me that i'm no longer allowed an abortion because of the fact god pronounced so, i'm no longer allowed to marry my female buddy if i desire to because of the fact god pronounced so, if somebody is in this manner of desperate and hopeless place that they think suicide is the only way out, as a replace of offering those human beings convenience I somewhat have seen christians yell at them and condemn them and tell them that god will punish them and that the melancholy they sense from their melancholy is a sin because of the fact it turns against god's eye-catching earth. i understand they'll proceed to have faith of their god despite I say, yet I desire they might provide up making use of the old, discriminatory and at circumstances, frankly disgusting teachings of the bible, and that i hate they way they %. and choose from that's teachings (they'll decrease their hair yet won't permit gays marry).
