The standard answer "30 days" was valid 10-20 years ago, but maybe not today.
The journal "National Drug Court Institute Review" states that the length of time cannabis metabolites may be detected, on average, on a standard urine screen is typically no longer than ten days for chronic users and between 3-4 days for infrequent users, according to a literature review published in their Vol 5, 2005 edition.
The Marijuana Detection Window: Determining The Length of Time Cannabinoids Will Remain Detectable In Urine Following Smoking: A Critical Review of Relevant Research and Cannabinoids Detection Paul Cary, M.S.
It all depends on the sensitivity of the test, some go as low as 15ng/ml today. In the treatment center where I work, the longest I've seen in 6 years was about 3 week after last use on a 20ng cutoff.
None of the products that "cleanse" the urine work because you can't "cleanse" the body's fat cell where THC is stored. The reason people "pass" urine tests is that their urine level was below the cutoff level for the test - they were lucky, that's all.
I must get back to work. See my previous answers on this subject. I usually answer questions of this nature 2-3 times a week, sometimes daily.
Although I don't smoke pot today, I did all through the military and college. There are no surefire ways to fool all tests other than time.

Doesen't matter if you are a long term user or not it can stay in your system for three months, if you have an up coming test there are ways around it you just have to know where to look.

urine about 30 days but depending on the testing it can come back as 'trace' for anything up to 6 to 8 weeks.
a posative result is looked upon differently than a trace result .
if it comes back as trace it is generally assumed that you are now clean
p.s a hair test is about 3 months(just shave your hair if your trying to get your act together!!) wil

1 month for a typical urine test. Longer depending on how sensitive of the test being used such as collecting hair samples.

If you stay away from it for one month (including second-hand) it should be clean from your system. Drink lots of water to help it clear. There are products that aid in the detoxifying. I have seen it sold at natural food stores.
