To get it out hold the pan over the flame on your stove for about 15 seconds then turn it over, repeat if it doesn't come out the first time. There is a tool you can use to "Tort" your cake but a serrated knife works to level, depending on the height of your cake you can look around and find something close to the height you want and use it as a guide for your Torting procedure

Put a plate over the cake pan and flip when it is cooled. When decorating it is best to freeze the layers, slice off the uneven tops and put the sliced side down. Frost a thin layer of icing to seal in crumbs and then build another layer of icing over that.

grease and flour the pan prior to pouring the batter and let the cake cool before you try to remove . . for a flat top cake bottoms up so the flat bottom is the top of your cake.

Lightly grease the pans first and coat with a little bit of flour. To flatten them out you will probably need to use a knife and cut off the excess dome in the middle.

with a knife go around the edges to lossen the cake... then turn the cake upside down on a plate. to have it lay flat u have to cut off the top ( thats the part thats kinda bumpy ) then u cut it in half and put ur filling in.

I now use the no-stick aluminum foil to cover the pan - works great.

i would use PAM...or flour. it might work. you can really make the cake falt before baking becasue it has to raise.... so when it is done get a knife and cut the cake. if you are icing it no one is really going to see the part you cut...HAPPY CAKE BAKING.... a.k.a good luck... hope this helped you
