if he really loved you, you would know by the way that he treats you not by what he says.

Actions speak louder than words.
Just observe him, watch how he acts around you, what he does for you, how far he is willing to go for you, etc.; that should give you a fair indication of his true feelings for you.
Time will tell if he really loves you or not.
If your budding (?) relationship stands the test of time, there's a strong chance that love is there too to hold it all up together, don't you agree?
P.S. If your boyfriend tells you he loves you without being asked, then he probably does love you more than you think. If he needs to be asked or told, then he probably doesn't love you as much as you would hope!

By his actions, body language. He can say he loves you, but does he *show* you he loves you?
I think it is the little things. Letting *you* pick the movie and holding the remote. Flowers for no reason except "because." Romantic dinners on a Wednesday night. Things like that.

if a guy says it he means it, theres no guy thats gonna get him self in a jam like that and not mean it, u say that to a chick and ur phucked, so why would u do that to yourself if you wernt serious,unless you guys are like 12-14- then he doesnt even know what the hell love is, he just thinks he knows

Its hard to tell on the phone or on messengers... check if he says it really fast or quiet.. if its quiet he probably means it, if its fast either cause hes nervous or lying. If he says it in person, check for eye contact and body movement.

You're too hung up on the words. Forget about what he says unless he walks the talk. How does he treat you. What does he do for you? Think about it.

By the way he treats you! ...is he considerate? he is affectionate [without sex]; does he seek to help you, support you in your goals and dreams; does he talk about the future with you; does he enjoy your company doing things other than having sex? Does he talk with you about ideas etc etc.

listen to the way he says it. usually, if someone means it it will be said naturally and calmly. if he doesn't it might be rushed or unnatural. so just close your eyes and listen.

if he is telling u that alot he has to be truthful. maybe it's u who don't love him don't worry so much u can tell by his actions if he truly loves you
