on her leash when she sees other dogs becuase she wants to play with them, so badly? Sometimes she sees people that she has decided she wants to play with, too, and she strains to get to them. I do not want to yank on the leash becuase I do not want her to think I am scared, and that she needs to protect me, this happened with my yorkie. Matter of fact it seems all my dogs have pulled on their leashes. They obey me otherwise.

it can cause strain to your body if the dog constantly pulls on the leash. you could get a halti for the dog and when it pulled away from the leash it would direct its head down and stop the dog in its place.

It's not a matter of the dog thinking you're scared, it's a matter of the dog knowing who's in control.

If you're allowing your dog(s) to pull on the leash, you're relinquishing your dominance and letting them take control.

YOU are the leader and they need to understand that. When your dog(s) pull on the leash, pull them back and tell them no.
