First Off, i want to say, i'm NOT dying my hair bright solid purple. My hair is black. I jus' want to get my hair tinted purple. My friend jus' got his hair dyed. His hair is also black and it doesn't look too different. The only difference is when the light hits his hair, it looks like a purple-ish color. I have no idea what this is called but i'm gonna do to a professional to do it. Everyone's telling me the purple color is called eggplant. Since i'm don't know how eggplant looks like, does anyone have a link to a picture?

Eggplant? Aubergine? Dark plum?

Here's a picture of an eggplant too, if that's what you wanted (I don't really understand what you're asking):

The name of the color is really irrelevent esp if your having a professional do it. Look for any color that has a V on it V is violet. So If you want just highlights I would recommend like a 3V with a violet intensifier. All that means is that your color level will be a 3 Violet with extra kick of violet
