I am a Buddhist so, why can't some Christians understand that I am happy being a buddhist and that I don't need their help? Why do they try to convert me?Can they mind their business?

There are several reasons for this, not the least of which is this: our Lord told us to do so. We also want to share the joy we have from a personal relationship with Jesus.

It is also because we care about people. We hate the fact that so many are blinded to the Truth of God, because of "religion." Why do you think there are so many religions? To keep people from finding or knowing the Truth.

If someone was driving toward a bridge that had been washed out, and I knew about it, but did nothing to tell someone, wouldn't I be guilty of their death if they plunged into the river and drowned?

But, if I told them, and this person drove on after the warning, plunged into the river and drowned, I would be innocent.

It is the same with sharing Christ. We want you to know. How you deal with the information is between you and God.

I first am not trying to convert you. The choice is yours and your alone. But does religion guarantee your will go to heaven? Does religion alone save the soul from hell?

What does your religion teach if you break the laws of your religion?

Try these.

Are you a good person? What a question, most of us believe that we are good people because we can look around and find someone that is far worse than we are. We can always point to the things that we think make us a good person.

But how good are we really? Dare we take this test and look at ourselves and see if we really are good? Hmmm.

If you are willing try this and see just how good a person you are.

The Good Person Test.

How will you do? Pass or fail?

Have you ever told a lie?
Doesn't matter how big or small, just a lie.
What does that make you? Before answering think about this, if I told you a lie what would you call me? A liar?

Have you ever stolen anything? Cost doesn't matter, a piece of gum, failed to give back an ink pen that you borrowed, anything.
What does that make you?

Jesus said, "You know the saying of old, you shall not commit adultery but I say that if look at someone to lust after them you have committed adultery in your heart.
Have you ever lusted?

Jesus said that hate is equal to murder.
Have you ever hated anyone?

See one day we all are going to stand before a Holy God on Judgment Day and he is going to judge us based on His Holy Law, the Ten Commandments. These are just 4 of them and how did you do? Guilty? I have broken all of these and more, what about you? How well will you do on Judgment Day?

If we break just one point of God's Law we are guilty of breaking all the law and Gods Wrath abides upon us all. Based on God's Law we are all guilty and all are deserving of punishment. But there is an out for us.

Jesus paid the price for each one of us, took on himself God's Wrath so we wouldn't have to face it on our own. Jesus was beaten, battered, bleed and died so we wouldn't have to face God's Wrath. He rose again so that we would life in his presence. Our crimes, His payment.

The real question is where will you stand on Judgment Day. Pay yourself or have it paid for you. Think about it.

It is all about choices and understanding that the choices that we make come with a cost. If we are willing to make the payment that is expected then we deal with the out come. Right?

They are really just doing what they were taught to believe. I am Catholic but I wont try to convert a Jehovah to my faith. I do not appreciate them knocking on my front door every spring. I had one approach me on Christmas and I had one to my door the day the Pope John Paul II died. To me that was just very disrespectful. Everyone is entitled to thier beliefs. I find that most (especially born agains) seem to think it is okay to drink, cheat lie steal and beat their kids as long as the check they give the church a nice fat check on Sunday I am not saying all but the few families in my town. So, dont take offense please, I am not saying all of them.

Because it is a commandment from Christ.

I know alot of Buddhists, Muslims and Hindus who have come to Christ. They open that door that God is knocking on.

Bottom line. Your faith is all about how you can work and work and work and maybe, just maybe you will work hard enough to go to heaven.

Christianity -- Jesus already did the work. All you have to do is accept Him, and salvation is a gift.

Ask whomever is trying to convert you if they would be interested in becoming a Buddhist. Tell them it can go both ways.

Convert, accept, believe and TITHE.
Numbers mean money.
Money is the currency of business.
Why does any business advertise?
Businesses including Religions advertise because when you
accept their product they make money.
Money is power. It can be used to buy politicians for example.
Recognize that when politicians begin to push religion you are in deep doo doo.
Now that is something you can accept from me for free.

Well, because their religion is allegedly the only *true* religion. Which we know is B.S. They're taught that they have to convert the non-believers.

What they often fail to realize is that many of us who practice no religion or other-than-Christian religion were, in fact, one time some flavor of Christian. We left Christianity for a reason.

They just don't get it.

Because God calls them (myself included) to "Go and make disciples of all nations." It's evangelism, plain and simple. Tell them that you appreciate the information, but you are very happily Buddhist. If you actually know these people and they're your friends, it's because you being a Christian is what they believe is best for you, and they want what's best for you. Tell them that you're happy being friends with them, but that their evangelism isn't welcome with you.

Some are so naive, they are hopeless. In my town a Baptist church was raising money for bibles and kites with the American flag on it to send to Iraq. A kid in Iraq flying that kite would likely get their @ss kicked or worse. They need to mind their own business and I need a JW repellent for my front door, the ba**erds!

Don't be angry; they are motivated by their love towards you.

Bible says:
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God (Rev 2 : 7)

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death (Rev 2 : 11)

GOD BLESS YOU
