I am tired of 'playing the field'. I want to find a good companion. Someone who will share our love rather than just take it from me either with nothing in return or something expected back that makes me feel uncomfortable. I like to get out camping, fishing, going to the beach, ice skating, movies, dinner, walks, faires, anything for fun! It's a drag doing it alone and I'm not sure how to find someone who is looking for the same. Any suggestions?

HEY.....your not the only one in this world, so cheer up...love is like a living soul you can't command its presence.....love knows when it's the right time and what is best for you. all you have to worry about is being yourself......you wouldn't want someone to love you for what you pretend to be, but you'll want them to love you for who you are.....love comes in all directions, you will never know until it hits you....but continue to support it, if you like someone, be their friend and learn more about them...then you'll see that love is truly amazing. it's the only thing we have close to magic.

I suggest you maybe try to find groups who travel together or do these activities together, even if you dont find a man while venturing out with these people, you will indeed find others who enjoy these activities just as much as you.
I think that even maybe possibly taking a class at the gym that interests you or taking an art class or any type of class of your choice, you will be surrounded by others just like you for they signed up for the class too!!
I took up dancing and made some of my best female friends/companions through there. We're more compatible because we share interests beyond school or work.
My best boyfriend I found while taking an art class. It was an interest outside the mundane job and school. And he too like me was lookin for a change of pace. Either way it cant hurt to try cause you'll still be doing something you love!!

Hey Donna C!

You stand a better chance of finding this type of man in a church or civic organization than in a bar. Many of men that hang out in bars are takers (many, not all), but the types that you'll find in the other two places are givers. Go and look there, and you'll find someone that will give as well as take.
