The only thing I know is to become so absorbed in something you've got to do that you temporarily forget about it. For example, if you where sky diving or riding a roll a-coaster, I believe you might be relieved of the pain. So I'm saying that any intense life pursuit will tend to make you feel better.

As you know, Fibro has no cure, only temporary relief that helps you manage your pain.
Massage Therapy seems to work best for those I know with Fibro. I also used to work for a company that provided Fibro courses to Licensed Massage Therapsists, and we would always get phone calls and e-mails saying that they really helped their clients with the illness.
Ask around, research online. Find an MT who specializes in Fibromyalgia. They will know the techniques better than anyone, and hopefully provide you with the relief you're looking for. It's also my understanding that more insurance companies are recognizing massage as a remedy to illness, so there's a chance that your health insurance will cover part of the costs for each session.
If that's not an option for you, look into holistic treatments. Many people are skepical about them, but I rely on them more than Western medicne in many cases when it comes to pain management.
I hope this helps!

Do you mean Fibromyalgia? I was diagnosed with this about 6 years ago and was put on Amitriptyline. You have to build the dose up gradually until you are pain free but it does have side effects. I suffered with severe palpitations and in the end decided to stop taking it and put up with the pain.
I have learned to live with the pain and control it myself with either ibuprofen or co-codamol.

Yes. There is a product called Reliv. It's a health supplement. After using the product for several months, people with fibramyalgia have actually been pain free, they report.

You may be able to control your symptoms with regular exercise and by finding better ways to handle stress. Good sleep habits are very important, too. If you have trouble sleeping, changes to your routine, schedule, and sleep surroundings can help. Counseling can help you cope with long-term (chronic) pain.
If your symptoms are troublesome, your doctor can prescribe medicines that help you feel better.
Some people with fibromyalgia also find complementary therapies helpful. These include acupuncture, massage, behavioral therapy, and relaxation techniques.

Seriously, try a doctor who practices holistic medicine. Sometimes they can help after you've exhausted the methods prescribed by your regular doctor. They give you different ways of looking at things. This from going through a trial and error period with two friends of mine who got sick of the medications the doctors were giving them and changed their live style through holistic means and are doing much better.
