this question doesn't make much sense. DID she mate with your neighbors dog or not? if she hasn't, keep her confined until she is no longer in heat and then get her spayed! if you think she has mated with the neighbors dog, contact your vet to see if they will do a spay abort. if the other dog is much larger than yours, there is a good chance the pregnancy could be very dangerous for your dog.

Just one more reason to have her fixed...

If your dog is a small dog and the neighbor's is a large or medium dog, then you're headed for trouble - depending on the dam and sire (girl and boy), you may be headed for a C-Section and that could range from $600 at your vet to $1200 at an emergency vet clinic.

You really need to consult your vet and tell them the kind of dog that you think the father might be - an abortion and spaying may be your cheapest option.

i don't think the size of the dog really matters. the puppies should only get as big as she can carry them. take her to the vet to have her checked over though just to make sure that she is in good enough health to carry puppies. a miss carriage is more dangerous than puppies that are to big for her to deliver herself since they can do a c-section in that case.
