I have Geico as my car insurance and I have the policy set up for every six months and I pay monthly. Does Geico have a grace period?

Most car insurance policies do not have a grace period. Why should they? In our office we get people complaining their insurance lapsed Saturday night, so they had no coverage Sunday, like it is our fault. I tell them that is why the company sends out notices 90 days in advance. I tell them that is why the tags on the licence plate tell them exactly when the insurance and registration both expire. If they still want to argue I ask them how they remember their mortgage payment, their hydro payment, their internet payment, their Visa payment, their Mastercard payment, and all the other obligations they take on AND SIGN FOR.

"midnight of the date" is ambiguous. Actually "midnight" is no date whatsoever, as midnight is an infinitely thin line between 2 days. You have to say "midnight between Tuesday and Wednesday" or the like. If someone says "midnight on January 24" you wouldn t know if that were the line between 23-24 or between 24-25. The problem is easy to avoid by saying 12:01 AM.

Mine has a grace period. Very inexpensive too. Safeco.com I don't know if they offer insurance in your state though.

We used to have GEEKO, Once your due date is up, after midnight of that date, you have no insurance.
This is one reason we no longer have geeko.
