I read a story about that happening (I don't know if it was true or where I read it). It was in a boating accident and the father could either save his son or his son's friend, but not both. Knowing his sons faith in God and his friend not having that faith he saved his sons friend. The story went on to say that the friend was converted and became a preacher. So, one day they will all be in heaven together.

I would hope that if ever I'm in that same situation I would do the same.

If at all possible, I would try to save them both. If only one would be physically saved, then I would have to rescue the unsaved man. As long as he is alive, he still has a chance to make the right decision. It would be the right choice, and the one that my saved loved ones would expect me to make.

Christian morals would have you try to save both, or die trying.
