Do you know the people in your church? Do you have friends there or do you just attend, get a message, and you're in and out... not really knowing anyone? Just an honest poll.

Sorry that you're home sick Brown. I hope you're able to go back and visit your home some time, but it's great that you've made new friends. For me, I am a part of a big church, but I've met so many people. I know alot, but I personally have a few true friends. All the people I've met though have a great heart for God and I'm glad to be where I am.

I know most, but I'm still learning some. I try to stay after and get to know more. Or invite some over to play video games and watch movies and eat! Stuff like that!

I recently moved there about a year ago when I got married. I like the Kingdom Hall I go to. I miss my old one back home, but the people here are so loving and caring, I'm not so home sick as I thought I'd be.

Being Iam new to the Church I have made a few friends. I just recently joined the Catholic Church and the only people I really know are the ones in my RCIA class and the priest of the church. But every week I make more friends

Well, since I'm the pastor, I pretty much know everyone ;-)
This is often a function of size. Small congregations tend to get to know each other. Larger congregations tend to be more anonymous. I prefer congregations where the people know each other well--I think that's what it means to be a community of Christ--but some people need to get involved more slowly, so a larger congregation is more comfortable for them. Even the largest congregations try to create small groups where you can get to know a few other people well.

For Laura H, I hate skirt and hose, too, but most folks at my church just wear slacks. (I still wear a skirt, but it's my professional attire. During the week, I wear slacks.)

Been to some where I knew them... others where I didn't know them. I don't go for the people, I go to get the Word of God and then I leave. I'm not here for a popularity contest or society "look at me, I go to church". It will be interesting to see what your poll reveals. ;o)

I know some (but certainly not all) of the people at my church. I'm Catholic, and a lot of people attend Mass at various times, so there's no way I could know the entire parish.

I know them. But rarely hang out after church because I hate wearing skirts and heels!

Yes, I know people in my church.
I have friends that attend my church as well.
Hard to have fellowship with having friends.
