I don't think there's anything wrong with it as long as you just wear the bikini and act normal. Then I don't have any trouble with non-sexual nudity in front of children either, we all have bodies... I'm not a nudist but several friends are, never noticed anything weird about their children (who go to nudist resorts and such in summer). If anything, taking the taboo from nudity makes them *less* likely to wear 'tacky' clothes and such.... the people in the most 'tacky' clothes seem to be those who were raised with the biggest taboo on everything that even showed the least bit of skin... forbidden fruits really are sweeter....

You wouldn't ask this question if you thought it was O.K. You have probably had some feed back already on it. Perhaps from someone in your family.
I don't think it is right for anyone to wear a thong. Yes, it just shows your butt, BUT I have seen people in a thong that should be in full body suits...........What would your answer be if you had a daughter 15 years old that wanted to wear one on the beach because it ONLY shows her butt?
If you want to show off your body visit one of the nude beaches where you can strip or not strip.

I personally would not mind someone wearing a thong bathing suit around me, however I would not want my kids exposed to it. In my opinion, that's just too much for a kid to see. Eventhough it does not bother you, you are not everyone. Save the thong bikini for when you're at home with your daughter, and wear a normal bathing suit when you're out in public.

I think it's great that you feel confident enough to show your butt, but I am curious to know why you feel the need to show your butt in public. I live in Hawaii and I have never seen anyone wearing a thong at the beach- sorry but that's gross. Maybe you could sunbathe at a nude beach or at your back yard instead.

I would guess that most places that you go would not allow thong bikini's to be worn in public places. Save it for somewhere with no children around.

It depends on the enviroment- the problem with children is that more and more people have kids at an older age- and those older parents are less likely to be doing it- in other words- if you are the only one- you are probably wrong.
It also depends on your physical condition.
If you had a backside like mine- you definately would not want to do it under any conditions- even if you were alone.

Children have a butt - as anybody who's ever changed diapers know. And - also... children are totally un-selfconscious, and they don't care at all if you go around in the nude or with a kaftan on.
A kid is not upset if you go topless, or whatever. I have no objections to thong bikinis...
As for the public beach, that depends on the management. I'd take a wrap with me - so if you want to go for a drink, you can cover up with a sexy little thing, rather than parade around.

In my opinion, people are already scantily clad at the beach and pool anyway, so it won't make much of a difference if you show just a little more skin than the rest. But if it makes you uncomfortable, don't wear it.

yes, it's just a butt. so if you want to wear one, go for it. but be prepared for some people to complain about it. you know as well as i do that not everyone sees it the way you and i do.
though i don't object to them, i personally think thongs are tacky. i don't want to see your whole behind. better to leave a bit to the imagination.
